Do you accept Longhorn cattle?

Regardless of breed, all cattle unloaded at this facility must not have horns more than half the length of the ear. This is a safety rule to keep cattle from getting out of the chute and injuring employees or damaging property.

Do you accept sheep in full wool?

One of our main concerns at this facility is being able to safely separate the meat carcass from the contaminated outer coverings. For that reason, we ask that sheep are hair sheep or have been sheared.

What should I know before scheduling a swine appointment?

We currently do not accept boars. We also do not accept the Kune Kune breed. Please confirm with our office if you have a heritage breed you would like to schedule but are unsure.

Please note that although we are USDA inspected, we currently only offer hog appointments as custom processed.

We do not offer cured or smoked pork products at this time but hope to in the future.

What can I do to make my appointment run more smooth ?

We do not accept animals overnight. Please arrive to drop off promptly at 7 am to prevent any delays. If you or anyone purchasing an animal from you wants variety meat (liver, heart, oxtail, tongue, or kidney), please note this at drop off so we can ensure that it is saved. We do not offer cheek meat. Please have your customers communicate with us about cut sheet preferences before of ASAP after dropping off.

Do you offer quarter shares?

Currently, our facility cuts animals in halves. We do not offer cut sheets for animal shares distinguishing between front and back quarter.

How long do you age your beef carcasses? Can I age it longer?

While the pork and lamb carcasses begin processing days after chilling, beef carcasses are aged approximately 14 days as long as they have sufficient fat cover to keep the meat from drying out.

To leave a carcass hanging in the cooler for a longer dry aging time, a fee of $35 a day is applied to the invoice.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We do not accept personal checks. We accept payments in the form of cash, cashier's check, debit card, and all major credit cards. When using a debit or credit card, there is a 3.5% processing fee automatically applied to the total charge. Please review our full financial statement here

Does vacuum sealing my product cost extra?

It does not cost any extra to vacuum seal. Processing choices that result in extra fees are listed on the cut sheets which can be accessed through the animal icons on the home page.

What should I know about the pick-up process?

Your product will be completely frozen when you arrive. Please bring boxes or coolers, especially if traveling a long distance. If needed, boxes are available to purchase on site. Our pick-up times are scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Payment is due at pick-up.

Do you accept mature herd bulls?

Unfortunately, we do not accept mature herd bulls. The thickness of their neck makes them hard to catch in our chute which creates a safety hazard for our employees. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
